    Tiziana Racca

    PhD Researcher and Food scientist at University College Cork in Ireland, Tiziana combines rigorous research experience with a deep passion for nutrition and promoting healthy lifestyles. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Milano Bicocca University, Italy, and a Master's degree in Infection Biology from Uppsala University, Sweden, where her research explored the role of gut microbiota in undernutrition and intestinal dysbiosis, contributing to the Global Health Journal at Uppsala University.

    Tiziana pursued a postgraduate diploma in Nutritional Sciences at University College Cork, where she is currently a PhD student. Her work focuses extensively on protease activity in milk and infant formulas, bridging fundamental biochemical research with practical applications in food science. During her PhD, she gained international research experience through two research periods at UC San Diego, collaborating with scientists and expanding the scope of her work.

    She is particularly interested in the biological mechanisms behind food cravings and satiety, and in developing smart eating strategies that help people make healthier choices without sacrificing satisfaction.
